Our community of artists is a thriving one. Both on campus and off, UVM and Burlington are known for the unique artistic spirit that surfaces in the concert halls, historic theaters, off-the-beaten path art studios, museums, clubs and classrooms. At the heart of the academic arts at UVM are world-class artists who also love to teach. Explore the Arts at UVM.

Arts and Academics

The arts are well represented in UVM's academic program — whether it’s sculpting, music lessons, acting, ballet or a host of other endeavors, you can make your artistic interests part of your academic program by taking classes for credit, or even become so involved that it becomes your minor. Of interest to first-years: an Integrated Fine Arts program where students can study multiple areas of the arts at once.
