Lauren Milideo is a science writer focused on environmental research and breaking news. Her journalism and writing have appeared in Earth Magazine, university news websites (University of Vermont, Penn State, Middlebury College), and several Vermont newspapers.

Lauren is thrilled to bring her diverse interests and skills to the Gund Institute for Environment as Strategic Communications Manager within University Communications. In her role, Lauren combines her love of scientific research and writing, connects journalists with UVM research and expertise, and manages the Gund Institute’s social media and digital channels. She has a PhD in geosciences and has conducted fieldwork as an archaeologist and paleontologist. Her undergraduate majors were English and evolutionary anthropology.
