For classrooms where a microphone is available, we ask that faculty use the microphone to provide the student (and any potential accompanying note takers/transcribers) better communication access. For smaller classrooms where a microphone may not be available, we can work individually with the student and faculty member to determine if a microphone needs to be added to the classroom.

Additionally, it is important for professors to engage in best practices like repeating questions or comments from the students in the classroom that may not be using microphones.
