Founded in 1822, the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont is the seventh-oldest medical school in the nation.

Research

The UVM Larner College of Medicine receives $90 - 100 million annually in research funding. Researchers in laboratory, clinical, and community settings work toward a greater understanding of disease and wellness, as well as new, more effective treatments.
