Hands and Hearts On
We believe the way students become successful physicians is to learn by doing and experiencing. Our holistic, active learning approach will help you become the physician you want to be and the one your patients need—a doctor who is understanding, intelligent, a good listener, and a critical thinker.
From Dean Richard L. Page, M.D.
I am delighted that you are considering a career in medicine and exploring The UVM Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine. At Larner, we take pride in our commitment to innovation in education. We invite you to join us in our mission of making medicine better for all.
Match Day 2024
On March 15, in the Davis Center’s Grand Maple Ballroom, the Larner College of Medicine’s Class of 2024, clad in ʼ70s and disco-themed attire, took the next significant step toward becoming fully-fledged physicians. “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme a Match after Midnight” was this year’s Match Day theme.
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme a Match after MidnightWhite Coat Ceremony
At Larner, our annual White Coat Ceremony is a big deal! Initiated in 1993 at Columbia University, this ceremony takes place for first-year students at most medical and osteopathy schools in the United States. Donning a white coat establishes the psychological contract for the practice of medicine.
