The Larner College of Medicine ceremony celebrates the completion of medical student training with graduates receiving their doctoral hoods and diplomas as they cross the stage at the Ira Allen Chapel.

Information for the Class of 2026

Body

Regalia

Regalia was purchased for the Class of 2026 by the UVM Larner Alumni Association and will distributed in person in the Given Courtyard in front of the Office of Medical Communications. Regalia is required to participate in the graduation ceremony. Members of the Class of 2026 may pick up regalia on the following days from 11am - 1pm: 

Monday, May 11
Tuesday, May 12
Wednesday, May 13
Thursday, May 14

If you are unable to pick up regalia during these times you may have a classmate pick up for you. Please contact Liz Dohrman with questions. 

ADA Accommodations & Accessible Parking

All celebrations and ceremonies at the University of Vermont are physically accessible and include use of CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) at all venues. Additional accommodations, including ASL interpretation are available upon request by completing the form linked below by May 14. ADA Accommodations and Accessible Parking Request

Guest Hooders

The deadline for graduates to request a guest hooder has passed. Please contact Liz Dohrman with questions.

Arrival Time/Location

Graduates should arrive at 2:15 PM, using the back entrance to the Ira Allen Chapel, accessed from the Votey parking lot. Student line-up will take place in the Billings Lecture Hall.

Parking & Shuttle Service

Parking for graduates and guests will be available in the Jeffords and Given parking lots. A shuttle to the Ira Allen Chapel will be available beginning around 1pm, look for signage indicating pick-up location in the lots. The shuttle will also bring guests back to the parking area and the Davis Center for the reception after the ceremony.

Tickets

Tickets are required for all guests to attend the graduation ceremony. A link to request tickets was sent to graduates via email on Wednesday, April 8th.The deadline to request tickets was April 29 at 12pm and waitlist tickets have been allocated. 

Livestream

The ceremony will be livestreamed and recorded.

Reception

Graduates and guests are invited to a reception with light refreshments immediately following the ceremony in the Grand Maple Ballroom on the 4th floor of the Davis Center. The Davis Center is a short walk from the chapel or guests may take a shuttle to the reception. 

Photos

GradImages, a professional commencement photography business, will individually photograph each graduate in their regalia when they cross the stage. 

Students are encouraged to pre-register online with GradImages for easy tracking of their Commencement Day proofs and to order prints. Enter "UVM" or "University of Vermont" in the "School/Organization" search box.

Photos of the ceremony will also be available in a photo gallery. Please allow a minimum of 1 - 2 weeks for images to be uploaded. The gallery also includes images from other milestone events for the Class of 2026. Images are available to download.
