Gund Fellow Azur Moulaert wrote a short piece for the International Society of Ecological Economics (ISEE) Spring 2010 newsletter, outlining a two year project to study the ecosystems in the protected area of Costa Rica's Terraba-Sierpe (TS) mangrove forest; a project made possible by the Bluemoon Fund. The story is located on page 22 of the newsletter.
This region boasts one of the planet’s greatest concentrations of biodiversity, and has been protected by how difficult it is to access the region. A major concern is the government's current plans to change all this, making this study one of utmost importance if there is to be any chance of saving this unique ecosystem.
