As a connected community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni we share a commitment to work together to address complex problems for the betterment of people and planet. We educate and inspire our students to be leaders in their professions and their communities.

Our college brings together Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, and Engineering. We believe the future sits at the nexus of these fields as the use of data, artificial intelligence, and advancements in technology creates new industries, addresses issues of climate change and sustainable energy, and identifies trends in health and wellness to help people live healthier and fulfilling lives.

Our students benefit from the college's ideal scale: our expanding programs and funding portfolio attract faculty who are leading researchers in their fields, yet we remain small enough to provide intimate class sizes that provide hands-on learning opportunities in a team-based environment that cultivates strong and lasting connections between our students, faculty, staff, and each other.

We celebrate the diverse views and backgrounds that our students bring to the classroom and our open and active curricula allow for numerous pathways toward successful and rewarding careers. Our students view each other as collaborators, not competitors, and both graduate and undergraduate students work on cutting-edge research with real-world application and impact. Our partners recognize the impressive caliber of our students, and over 97% of our graduates have jobs or are enrolled in graduate school within six months of earning their undergraduate degree from UVM.

I invite you to visit campus and explore our website to learn more about what makes UVM unique and discover the many ways you can engage with UVM and Vermont’s civic-minded community.

I look forward to meeting you!
