Part-Time Jobs Fair | Aug. 27, 2025

Looking for a part-time job? Need a work-study position?
Come meet local and on-campus employers offering work-study and part-time positions at the annual Part-Time Jobs Fair. Employers will be tabling in the Davis Center Atrium during Week of Welcome. 

  • Audience: ALL students
  • Attire: Casual (come as you are)
  • Prep: None needed, just drop by to learn about open positions

The Accounting Fair | Sep. 18, 2025

Explore the accounting industry and meet with local, regional, and national recruiters on campus to speak with you about job and internship opportunities. This annual event is a partnership between the UVM Career Center, the Grossman School of Business, and the Masters of Accounting Program. 

  • Audience: Students & alums with an interest in accounting from any academic area
  • Attire: Business Casual (dress to impress)

Fall Job & Internship Fair | Oct. 8, 2025

The main event of the fall is our large-scale Fall Job and Internship Fair which draws nearly 100 regional and national organizations to campus to connect with you about job and internship opportunities. This fair includes organizations from all industries who want to recruit Catamounts!

  • Audience: All students (any year, all majors)
  • Attire: Business Casual... or not*
  • Prep: Drop-by the week before to brush up your resume or practice your pitch. Review the employer list in Handshake to make sure you don't miss an employer of interest...
  • Bonus: Connect with the Career Interest Groups to help you navigate the fair!

    *Wearing a nicer outfit can help make a positive impression, especially if you are actively job searching - you won't go wrong with a jacket, tie, or skirt.  That said, it's better to come as you are than not come at all - particularly if you're just scoping out options.  Don't let your outfit dissuade you from stopping by.

Health Careers Showcase | HPIG (Sept)

Health Careers Showcase

The Health Professions Interest Group (HPIG) hosts their annual showcase of health careers every October.  Students can wander through the atrium and chat with representatives from the many UVM graduate programs within the health professions - hearing from current students in the programs, and gain valuable advice on navigating the journey from college to a health profession. Whether you're just beginning to consider a career in health or are ready to take the next step, this event offers something for everyone. Come network with professionals, ask questions, and discover the many ways UVM can support your aspirations in the health field.

Business Wonderland

The Business and Entrepreneurship (Biz-E) Interest Group holds its signature event: “A Business Wonderland” annually in September.  Students are invited to reflect on, identify, and personalize their unique set of professional skills and values. In so doing, students will feel energized and empowered to connect with other students, industry professionals, and alums regarding how their skills and values inspired their own career decisions. By the time they leave students will gain a sense of clarity about themselves and take a step or maybe a giant leap in their career journey. With charm and whimsy, this networking event is sure to conjure the magic beyond the major.

Cats-Giving

Cats-giving (like Thanksgiving) is a low-key, community and service opportunity to support the Catamount community while connecting with students, alums, and local businesses in social impact and food systems career fields. In partnership with UVM Dining, participants will create take-home meal kits for Rally Cat’s Cupboard using local produce. Whether you’re looking to make a difference in our community, explore career options, or simply enjoy great company, Cats-Giving is an event you won’t want to miss!

STEM Networking Night | STEM (Feb)

STEM Networking Night Banner

The STEM Networking Night happens annually in February and is a great opportunity to speak with professionals and alums in various STEM fields to learn more about specific industries and career pathways. We  start with 3 rounds (10-min each) of structured networking, and finish with unstructured networking for the last hour. Come learn from representatives of over 50+ companies to gain insight into potential industries of interest, inquire about internship or job openings at their companies, and potentially find a mentor.

The Creative's Carnival | AMC (March)

AMC's signature event, held annually in March, is an immersive, carnival-style event featuring alums, student clubs, and local businesses.  Students engage in creative activities to understand and build their personal brand. Whether you're just starting or refining your approach to building a career community, this event is not to be missed!

That is why the FES (Food, Environment & Sustainability) Interest Group is hosting: Network Like a Natural

Calling all students eager to engage in sustainable work that improves our built and natural worlds; calling all students interested in meeting new folks, making connections, or exploring possible careers; and calling all minigolf lovers!

Join us for mini-golf on the green, and as you play, you will also get to build out your natural ecosystem by connecting with a variety of professionals (and fellow students) whose work intersects the broad spectrum of careers in food, environment, and sustainability. 

This is networking at its best: natural conversations between people with shared interests; no false expectations or pretenses, no pressure.
