The Academic Plan is a tool that the student prepared to ensure you are meeting all your degree requirements on the degree audit. We recommend that you build this plan early and update it as you are completing courses. CSS Advisors are available to review and assist you.

Minor Applications (Business Administration & Accounting)

  • First, check with your home unit’s Student Services Office to determine if the minor in Accounting or Business Administration is accepted by your School or College and will be possible within your remaining degree requirements. Complete your minor application on-line. Once you have met with a GSB advisor and have satisfied the prerequisite requirements, you will receive notification of your admissibility to the minor.

Minor Information

Catalogue year 2019 and earlier

Business students are required to have a minor and must complete 30 credits outside of BSAD coursework. The declared minor must be outside of the School of Business. Restricted Minors: Consumer and Advertising, Consumer Affairs, Community Entrepreneurship, Public Communication, Business Administration, and Accounting.

Catalogue year 2020 to present

Business students are not required to have a minor, but it is encouraged.  Business students are required to complete 40 credits outside of BSAD coursework and pursuing a minor is a great way to meet this requirement. If you decide to pursue a minor, it must be outside of the School of Business.  Restricted Minors: Consumer and Advertising, Consumer Affairs, Community Entrepreneurship, Public Communication, Business Administration, and Accounting.
