Undergraduate Internal Transfer Guidelines | Grossman School of Business | The University of Vermont(title)

Students currently enrolled in another College or School at UVM who would like to transfer into or double degree in the Grossman School of Business, should complete the internal transfer application (requires login).

Review Process & Timeline

Students must complete one semester of Economics (ECON 1400 or ECON 1450) and one semester of college-level mathematics [MATH 1212 (or MATH 1234) or STAT 1410 preferred], each with a grade of C- or higher. Any previously completed Business Core classes (if any) will also be assessed during the application review process, and a grade of C- or higher must have been earned in those courses. In addition, a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher is required for transfer admission into the Grossman School of Business and students must be in good academic standing (not on trial/academic probation) and may not have any Incomplete or M grades pending.

Internal Transfer Application Review

Students are encouraged to submit an internal transfer application as soon as they meet the prerequisite requirements listed above. Applications are generally reviewed within one week of submission. Please contact the Grossman School Center for Student Success with any questions regarding the internal transfer process.

Mobile Computing Requirement

Internal transfer applicants and business school graduates are expected to be proficient in the use of information technology. To support this goal, all students enrolled in the Grossman School of Business at the University of Vermont are required to own a portable computer. Grossman School faculty strongly prefer students use Windows rather than Mac laptops because of application compatibility.

For minimum and recommended hardware specs, see the University's Student Computing Resources page.
