BIO

Jessica has an interdisciplinary research background in environmental science, freshwater ecology, and environmental anthropology. Some of her recent projects include investigating how wetland hydrology and ecology is influenced by groundwater management strategies and climate change as well as evaluating the opportunities that wetlands can provide for urban flood mitigation. 

In 2025, Jessica became a postdoctoral fellow with the Climate Measurements Center of Excellence in the Gund Institute for Environment where she will evaluate the approaches and challenges of current sub-national climate assessments as well as work to understand and promote best practices for future climate assessments. She received a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida and a B.S. from American University.
