WHAT TO EXPECT:
A regulated work area shall be setup in rooms C103 and C105. During abatement, workers will

entered unless a situation posing an Immediate Danger to Life and Health (IDLH) occurs, and if
possible, this entry should be made with personal and respiratory protection.

As part of renovations, Environmental Hazards Management, Inc. will remove caulking and
glazing materials associated with all exterior windows on all sides of Ira Allen School.
DURATION OF WORK:

Completion Date: Friday, July 15, 2022

WHAT TO EXPECT:
The windows will be removed by isolating the window on the interior of the building with a
sealed polyethylene sheeting barrier. Abatement will be performed from the building’s exterior
using localized negative pressure. The ground area directly under the windows will be covered
with polyethylene sheeting. A demarcated area will be set up on the outside of the building.
During abatement, workers will wear personal and respiratory protection. Areas will be clearly
marked and should not be entered.

To facilitate the repair of a leaking pipe associated with the second floor bathroom,
Environmental Hazards Management, Inc. will remove 20 linear feet of pipe insulation inside
the wall cavity in room 232B.
DURATION OF WORK:
Start Date: Tuesday, June 14, 2022
Completion Date: Thursday, June 16th, 2022
Hours: 6-4:30
WHAT TO EXPECT:
A containment area under negative pressure will be constructed in room 232B. Contractors will
access the work area though room 232. During abatement, workers will wear personal and
respiratory protection. Localized construction noise is expected throughout demolition activities
on June 14th. Areas will be clearly marked and should not be entered unless a situation posing
an Immediate Danger to Life and Health (IDLH) occurs, and if possible, this entry should be
made with personal and respiratory protection.
