What We Do
Physical Plant is responsible for the repair, maintenance, operation and upkeep of over 6.0 million square feet of facilities and 450 acres of grounds. The buildings we maintain range in size and complexity from classrooms, research laboratories, athletic facilities, offices, libraries, residential halls and dining facilities.
Our staff keep all building, mechanical and utilities systems in good repair, and respond quickly to the 24/7/365 emergency maintenance needs of the campus community.
We perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance work, as well as elective, departmental-request work. We accomplish our work using a combination of in-house personnel supplemented by contracted service providers.
About Us
Physical Plant is comprised of 120 technically proficient and customer-focused staff members who work in a variety of skilled, mechanical and building maintenance trades.
