The University of Vermont is proud to host exchange students from our many partner institutions and networks overseas. Students attend the University of Vermont for one or two semesters as part of their degree programs from home. Students seeking to obtain a degree from the University of Vermont should visit our Prospective International Student Information.

Prospective Exchange Students

Exchange students are nominated by their home institutions and then complete an application to the University of Vermont. If you want to learn more about UVM’s exchange program, read more about exchange at UVM and check our institutional fact sheet for the current academic year.

If you are interested in attending UVM as an exchange student, contact the international office at your home university. UVM has bilateral partnerships with many institutions overseas and is also part of the ISEP network. If you attend one of these institutions or your school is also an ISEP network member, UVM could be a possibility!

Accepted Exchange Students

Soon after you are accepted you will receive a pre-arrival email that will serve as your guide to preparing for your exchange. You must carefully read the Pre-Arrival Information for Exchange Students page that is linked in that email as it contains several required tasks to complete. Any outstanding questions during the pre-arrival period should be directed to Exchange@uvm.edu.
