BIO
Having graduated in geology from the Federal University of Ceará - BR, he focused on projects related to Remote Sensing, mainly focused on changes in land use and occupation, landscape analysis and geological and structural mapping. He completed his master's degree in geoprocessing and remote sensing at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, working in the area of mapping risks and natural disasters, mainly mass movements, susceptibility analysis and geospatial modeling using machine learning models.
He is currently a PhD candidate in Environmental Sciences at the Federal University of Goiás - BR and is doing a sandwich period at the University of Vermont - USA. His work is focused on quantifying carbon above and below ground using analytical and remote sensing techniques within the Brazilian biome called Cerrado. To do this, he uses various sensors and also analyzes how changes in the landscape affect carbon capture and storage.
Other than that, he has a specialization in Public Management, in the area of environmental legislation and water resources and works as an environmental consultant, carrying out work on environmental licensing and water resource concessions. He has also worked as a tour guide and abseiling instructor.
