Ski Racing Magazine has named Caitlin Patterson the 2010 “Female U.S. Junior Nordic Skier of the Year.” Patterson is a sophomore majoring in civil engineering in the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Patterson heard that she had received the award from her family in Alaska.
Her brother Scott Patterson, a multiple-time Junior National Champion, was named “Male U.S. Junior Nordic Skier of the Year” by Ski Racing Magazine -- he will be graduating from South Anchorage High School this spring.
