Families and Supporters

Families and supporters play an essential role in the college journey, and we see all the behind-the-scenes effort you put into supporting your Catamount. Thank you! You are a vital part of this transition, and we're thrilled to welcome you to the Catamount family along with your student.

As your student embarks on this new chapter at UVM, we recognize it's also a time of change for you. To help guide you through this process, we've gathered the following information, which we hope you'll find helpful.

Family and Supporter Orientation

Body

Our Family & Supporter Orientation experience begins on May 1 and continues through your student’s on-campus move-in day.

Throughout the summer, you’ll receive monthly email updates from our Orientation Office, filled with helpful tips, resources, and important information to help you best support your student as they onboard to UVM.

You’ll also have the chance to join a variety of New Student Insight Sessions, virtual events designed to introduce you to the many support systems and services available to your student on campus.

Your orientation journey will culminate in an optional in-person Family & Supporter Orientation program held on your student’s move-in day. This event offers a warm welcome and helpful insights as your student settles into life at UVM. A full schedule and RSVP information will be available soon. We look forward to supporting you as you support your student!
