Convocation Weather Update: 8/24/25

Convocation and the Twilight Induction ceremonies will take place outdoors rain or shine. The forecast today includes some potential showers this evening. The events will proceed as planned.

Please dress accordingly. New students will receive a rain poncho with their t-shirts during orientation group meetings on Sunday. We are excited to celebrate this UVM special tradition with you!

The President of the Student Government Association will welcome students to campus, and brief remarks will be given by UVM's President. The ceremony will close with the alma mater performed by the University’s a cappella groups.

At the conclusion of the ceremony the UVM community will walk in procession to the University Green for the Twilight Induction Ceremony, a candlelight ceremony and unique UVM tradition. Join the UVM community for this inspiring occasion as new students are welcomed to UVM.
