Finding/Purchasing Textbooks

Body

On August 4th, the UVM Bookstore releases a comprehensive list of all the textbooks required for fall semester classes. Through the UVM Bookstore you can buy or rent new or used copies of your textbooks, or even download digital versions of the course materials. The Bookstore can either ship your textbooks to your house or have them packaged and ready for you to pick-up at the Bookstore when you arrive on campus. Easy and hassle-free!

Computing Requirements & Recommendations

Body

UVM’s not-for-profit UVM TechStore carries computers from Apple and Dell, and a full line of supplies and accessories — from ink to iPads — all at competitive educational pricing. Computers purchased through the UVM TechStore meet University minimum specifications and can be serviced by the on-campus TechTeam.

The UVM TechStore is located on the third floor of the Davis Center in the UVM Bookstore and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Stop by, call (802) 656-3067, or email tech.store@uvm.edu.

Access to a computer is critical for your success, both in and out of class. All UVM students are required to have a laptop that meets the minimum specifications. Note that Chromebooks, iPads and Android Tablets are not capable of being used as your primary computing device. The UVM TechStore sells laptops that meet both college-specific and general University minimum specifications.

Students who might have financial difficulty meeting their computing needs should contact Student Financial Services, sfs@uvm.edu or call 802-656-5700 to discuss loan financing options.
