Case is a global change ecologist interested in better understanding the connections between biodiversity and the functioning of ecosystems in a warming world. Her research uses both manipulative experiments and observational gradients to explore questions across scales - from leaves to ecosystems. Case is currently a Foreign Affairs Officer at the United States Department of State. Prior to joining the State Department, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen and the University of Michigan.
