BIO

A lifelong activist and changemaker, Ali Hartman spends her time at the intersection of profit and purpose. She is an impact advisor, social change expert, and responsible technologist, who is most lit up when working with courageous, curious leaders and organizations. Ali has extensive experience aligning values and generating outcomes across the capital continuum from responsible investment and ESG integration to impact investing and venture philanthropy. 

Ali was most recently the Head of Responsible Investment at Tiger Global and the founding President of Tiger Global Impact Ventures (TGIV). In this hybrid role, she created the venture firm's approach to responsible investment and designed and executed its venture philanthropy and venture impact strategies, including a $50M fund on gender equity in tech. Previously, she was a pioneer in private equity, spearheading KKR’s ESG, DEI and citizenship efforts. She has worked on climate and water at Coca-Cola, studied children’s rights at the ILO, and completed fieldwork on a range of issues around the world. 

Ali holds a B.A. in Women Studies and Human Rights from Columbia College at Columbia University and completed her M.A. in International Affairs at L'institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Ali has spent the last three decades of her life as a service-driven leader, holding roles as a strategic advisor and board member at more than 30 nonprofits. She is currently on the Board of Directors for Conservation X Labs (Board President), the Board of Directors for Children's Rights, the Advisory Board for Duke University's Case i3: Initiative on Impact Investing, the Advisory Board for the Gund Institute at the University of Vermont (Board Chair), and the Alumni Board for the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. She is a mentor for Greenhouse Scholars and a volunteer with Spectrum Youth.
