As the fall semester begins at the University of Vermont, the Gund Institute for Environment is welcoming new community members from across UVM’s campus and the world. New Gund members, including three UVM faculty, two postdoctoral, and 21 graduate fellows, will join over 250 Gund community members worldwide, all dedicated to understanding and tackling the world’s most critical environmental challenges.
“One of my favorite moments in the academic year is when we get to welcome our newest members,” says Gund Institute Director Taylor Ricketts. “These 30 new fellows and affiliates strengthen our work and broaden our perspectives, creating opportunities to make our planet a safer, healthier home for people and nature. We’ll continue to find solutions to the most urgent environmental problems we face, with our newest Gund colleagues helping to lead the way.”
New members will be honored at the annual Welcome Picnic on Sept. 9.
