Welcome to the Society of Women Engineers!
SWE is a national nonprofit organization spanning both the student and professional sectors of engineering. The mission of SWE is to help empower women and gender queer folks in engineering, math, and technology fields to achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders; to expand the image of engineering as a means of improving quality of life, and to demonstrate the value of diversity.
The UVM chapter of SWE participates in the following:
- Hands-on workshops to gain valuable skills
- Networking events with professionals
- Advice paneling events
- Fun bonding activities
- Regional and national SWE conferences
Meetings

- Typically, SWE holds monthly meetings on Monday evenings in Innovation Hall.
