Program Director Kendall Fortney works with faculty, staff, students and the local community to empower the Open Source ecosystem through the Vermont Research Open Source Program Office (VERSO) at the University of Vermont. Kendall was the first Fellow for the Vermont Center for Geographic Information at the State of Vermont, and created the Geospatial and Data Science conference called GEODATSCI and he has served as organizer to several local meetups including the Open Source Connector.
