Laura received her BA in mathematics from the State University of New York College at Geneseo. She completed masters degrees in Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University. She has worked as a naval warfare analyst for a government contractor, and as an applied research mathematician for the US Department of Defense. In 2011, Laura moved to Vermont and started teaching at the Community College of Vermont. She has been a lecturer at the University of Vermont since fall 2018.
