There are several resources available for extra help with mathematics and statistics courses in addition to your instructor's office hours. Help Sessions are free. No appointment is necessary. Bring your textbook and any other needed materials.

Fall 2026

In-Person Help Sessions

Body

BOOST Sessions are run by experienced undergraduate BOOST leaders.  These are intended for students in MATH 1212, MATH 1224, MATH 1234, and MATH 1242/MATH 1248.  Students, individually and in small groups, benefit by having a knowledgeable student eager to help!  

These sessions run each Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM, from September 9th through December 9th, in Innovation E432.  (Sessions do not run on academic holidays.)  


MATH Help Sessions are run by experienced graduate students.  These graduate students are eager to help students in MATH 1012, MATH 1034, MATH 1077, MATH 1212, MATH 1224, MATH 1234, MATH 1242, and MATH 1248.  

These sessions run each Monday through Thursday from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM, from September 8th through December 10th, in Perkins 203A.  (Sessions do not run on academic holidays.)

Mathematica software is available to all UVM students, faculty, and staff under UVM's site license.

To install Mathematica, visit the UVM Software Portal, look for Mathematica and download the installer. Follow the instructions to install.
