Your UVM transcript is a comprehensive academic record. It reflects all UVM academic coursework completed, degrees awarded, and credit earned by examination, as well as credit for courses that were transferred from other institutions.

PLEASE NOTE: Your degree must be conferred by the Faculty Senate before it will appear on your transcript. Please verify that your degree information is listed before submitting your transcript request.

How to Request Your Transcript

How to Request your Transcript:

To start, please click here to create a Parchment Account and order your transcript.

Former and current students and alumni must go to Parchment’s website and create a learner account.

To access Parchment’s search engine, click on the “Order Now” Button and find the Institution Search bar to type in “University of Vermont.” Select University of Vermont (194 S. Prospect Street) under the search results.

Now, you will be redirected to a new screen called “Learner Account.”  There are two methods for requesting an official transcript: (1) order a transcript for yourself, or (2) order on the behalf of another person.

After selecting one of the two options above, you must enter an email address in the box below. You will be taken to a new screen to complete the following information:

  • Personal Information (First and Last Name)

  • Date of Birth

  • Highest Level of Education

  • Phone Number

  • Address Information (Parchment may suggest a “Valid” address. Usually these are correct and OK. Click on the blue link, so it will use the Valid address.)

You are required to create a password for Parchment (under Choose a Password); this password requires the following information:

  • 10 characters long

  • 1 upper case/lower case letter

  • 1 number

  • 1 special character

All the items listed above are required fields as indicated by red asterisks, so each field must be completed for the “Create Account and Continue” to be activated.

Click “Create Account and Continue.”

The confirmation code will be sent to your contact email address. Once finding the confirmation code, copy and paste it into the appropriate spot.

After creating a learner account, you will undergo the process of identity verification, so your student record will be matched to your request of an order for an official transcript.

Former and current and alumni are directed to the screen “Set Delivery Destination” for recipient selection. Enter the recipient’s information into the search engine and choose a recipient from the search results.

If Parchment cannot locate the recipient with the information given, then former and current students and alumni must select “I’m send it to myself or another individual.”

Next, you will be directed to a selection menu, deciding between electronic or printed formats. Printed transcripts are always delivered through USPS unless the individual selects FedEx as his or her expedited mail service.

After deciding the format and delivery method of the transcripts, you must select the transcript type levels: undergraduate only, graduate only, all records (excluding medical), and medical and non medical.

If it is mandatory to send an attachment with an official transcript, then select “Add Attachment” to upload the file into Parchment. Acceptable file types are pdf, jpg, png, and docx. You can select the option for an administrative user from the Office of the Registrar to review your attachment.

You are directed to the last stages of placing an order to request an official transcript: consent release and payment.

First, you must sign the statement for consent to release an official transcript and then check the box.

Second, you must agree to the fee and complete the requirements for billing address and credit and/or debit card information.

After completing the steps for consent release and payment, the request to order an official transcript has been finalized.

If you cannot request a transcript through Parchment, please complete the Transcript Request Form. Please note the transcript request form is for in-person pick up only. Please contact our office at registrar@uvm.edu or 802-656-2045 with any questions.
