Careers in Cancer

Event Overview

Body

Careers in Cancer is an immersive hands-on experience for high school students in Vermont. The Careers in Cancer series was developed to address the ongoing shortage of oncology workers in the U.S., as the incidence of cancer increases, patients live longer, and many oncology professionals reach retirement.

100 local high school students spend the day at the UVM Cancer Center learning about different career pathways in cancer through interactive lab tours, expert talks and a career fair. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
