Who we are, what we do, why it matters
Our purpose:
The cancer center is a research institute, an educational entity, a community organization, and a clinical care facility all in one! Our "four pillars" - research, education, community outreach, and clinical care - support the mission of the Center.
Our mission:
To reduce the burden of cancer in Vermont, northeastern New York and across northern New England through research, outstanding clinical care, community outreach, and education, with a special emphasis on improving outcomes for rural residents.
Our vision:
We believe that by working together, our affiliated members, clinicians, scientists, and community stakeholders will be leaders in facilitating transdisciplinary discovery and eliminating differences in cancer occurrence and outcomes in Vermont, northeastern New York, and across northern New England.
