Transdisciplinary Teams (TDTs)

The University of Vermont Cancer Center, representing a strong collaboration between the University of Vermont and University of Vermont Medical Center, is focused on advancing cancer research in ways that will most immediately have positive impact for those facing cancer in our region and beyond.

Patients who are treated here have the concentrated attention of a team of doctors and other care providers who specialize in their specific type of cancer and who work cohesively to provide the most advanced and compassionate care possible.

Additionally, treatment teams partner with researchers and academic scholars, nurses, and others in cancer-specific Transdisciplinary Teams (TDT's). Each TDT is charged with formalizing a clinical research strategy, including clinical trial activity, based on local expertise and unmet needs for patients in our region.

University of Vermont Cancer Center members are encouraged to participate in TDT meetings in an effort to most efficiently and expeditiously align transnational research priorities with the needs of patients.

Patients who wish to learn more about TDTs are encouraged to discuss this aspect of their care with their treatment team.
