Juckett Travel Awards for Trainees

Juckett travel awards are available to all trainee members who have been accepted to present a poster or give a talk at a conference for cancer-related research. Trainees will be awarded $500 to present a poster and $750 to give a talk.

Juckett travel awards are available to trainee members who have been accepted to present a poster or give a talk at a conference for cancer-related research. Trainees will be awarded $500 to present a poster and $750 to give a talk. Please see the travel award application below for details on payment options.

Juckett Travel Awards are available exclusively to trainee members of the Cancer Center. Non-trainee members conducting cancer related work must complete a member application and receive confirmation of acceptance prior to submitting the travel award application. 

Juckett Travel Award Applications must be submitted electronically as a single PDF file to crtec@med.uvm.edu. Incomplete applications or those not compiled into a single PDF will be returned for resubmission. 

  • Applicants requesting advanced payment must submit their completed application no later than 3 weeks prior to the conference start date. 

  • Applications for reimbursement must be submitted within 30 days following the conference end date. The application packet must include the following:

  1. Application form, including student statement

  2. Link to meeting agenda or other informational materials

  3. Abstract

  4. Supporting documentation

  5. Confirmation of acceptance of poster/presentation

  6. IRB research protocol approval if applicable
