This program offers students a broad spectrum of cancer research opportunities in disciplines ranging from surgery, pharmacology, and radiation oncology to biochemistry, pathology, and psychiatry. The summer research program culminates in an end-of-program poster session where students can share their work with UVM staff, faculty and students. Each mentor also receives up to $1,000 to use for project-related expenses.
Graduate and medical students are eligible for the Juckett Scholar Award. Two awardees are selected based on their application scores. Juckett Scholars receive an additional $1,000 stipend ($5,000 total) and have additional opportunities to present their research to UVM Cancer Center affiliated groups, such as the Juckett Foundation.
Join us for this year's Summer Research Fellowship Poster Session on Thursday, August 21 from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM in the Given Courtyard. Coffee and snacks will be provided. This event will showcase the research conducted by our twenty undergraduate, graduate and medical students who spent their summer working on cancer-related fundamental, clinical/translational, and population science research with UVM Cancer Center members.
