The Classroom Technology Services (CTS) Team is located in the David W. Howe Memorial Library. In addition to installing and maintaining the Presentation Equipment in the General Purpose (GP) classrooms, we can show you how to use it or increase your comfort level with it for your classes.

Requests for help in General Purpose classrooms should be addressed to the UVM Helpline at Helpline@uvm.edu or (802) 656-2604.

For assistance with the computers in Votey and Perkins, please email help@cems.uvm.edu or call (802) 656-4029.

For assistance with the computers in Kalkin & Ifshin, please email GSB Computer Help or call (802) 656-0800.

Hours and Coverage

Classroom Technology Services is available for support during the following hours:

  • Regular business hours: Monday-Friday: 8 am-4: 30 pm
  • Extended hours: Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am-6: 30 pm

Calls to the Helpline will be answered during their operating hours, and messages will be returned as soon as possible or a Footprints support ticket will be created.


  • Training on the Classroom Presentation Equipment
  • Consulting on equipment for Department Purchases
  • Answering questions about what can be done in the classrooms
  • Answering questions about software on the computers
  • Showing how to convert old presentation formats (VHS) to newer technology
  • Replacing dim or burnt-out projector bulbs

We cannot replace burnt out ceiling lights, fix wall clocks or window shades, or adjust room temperatures. For these types of problems, please see the UVM Physical Plant Contact Us page. We also do not supply chalk, and dry erase markers, board erasers, or cleaners. For these items, please email Custodial.Services@uvm.edu or phone (802) 656-3385.

The Classroom Technology Services team will be offering classroom orientation sessions on August 25th and 26th. The sessions are set up as an open house format, and the team will be available to assist with questions and classroom operations from 10 AM - 2 PM on both days.

Training will consist of operational functions of the system, using the control system, manipulating devices (both provided and personal) and using MS Teams for remote sessions.

The sessions are being hosted in Lafayette 207, 210, and 211.
