Accelerated Master's Pathway

With UVM’s Accelerated Master’s Pathway (AMP) you can start working toward a master’s degree as an undergraduate, helping you save time and money on your path to an advanced degree.

AMP Up Your Education

The AMP allows select undergraduate students to earn a master’s degree in as little as one additional year. Enroll in up to 9 credits that will count towards both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Simplify your grad school journey and save money on tuition and student fees by graduating faster — so you can dive sooner into a rewarding career.

Who is Eligible?

UVM undergraduate students should apply for an AMP in the fall or spring of your junior year and should meet the following requirements:

Financial Aid

You can use your financial aid to pay for your AMP program, but only before you’ve completed your bachelor’s degree. Once you’ve finished your undergraduate requirements, you are no longer eligible for undergraduate financial aid.

Additionally, any graduate-level courses you take before earning your bachelor’s must fulfill requirements for your undergraduate degree if you want to maintain eligibility for federal and UVM grants, Federal Direct Loans, and merit scholarships.

To make the most of your AMP, work with your advisor to select courses that count toward both your undergraduate and master’s degrees.
