Prof. Joshua S. Weitz is the Founding Director of an interdisciplinary PhD in Quantitative Biosciences at Georgia Tech. His primary research focus is in the area of theoretical ecology. He has written a book on Quantitative Viral Ecology and has authored more than 75 peer reviewed article on topics ranging from ecology to disease dynamics to the structure of physical networks in biological systems. His ongoing research is supported by grants from the NSF, Simons Foundation and Army Research Office.
