UVM CEMS will kick off UVM Career Week with an Engineering Career Forum on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 4-6 pm. in the UVM Davis Center Livak Ballroom. The Forum will provide students with guidance and advice about a variety of engineering career opportunities as they hear form a panel of invited speakers from a variety of engineering firms including IBM, Liebert Engineering, GeoDesign, Engineering Ventures, VTrans, as well as from UVM. Invited panelists will provide overviews of their careers, career-development stories as well as key advice followed by a question/answer period.
“This Forum will provide students with additional useful information and networking experiences with professional engineers,” says Bernard “Chip” Cole, Interim Dean of the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences.
Following the UVM CEMS Engineer Career Forum, the UVM Career Week Vermont Networking Event will feature over 75 Vermont employers on Tuesday, March 22 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm. in Grand Maple Ballroom. The UVM Spring Job Fair will be held Wednesday, March 23 from 2-5 pm. in the Grand Maple and Livak Ballrooms. The purpose of these events is to connect students with UVM Alumni who live and work in Vermont.
