Kyra Miller is a singer and actor. Originally from Brooklyn, she is delighted to be joining the voice faculty at UVM. Her voice training began at Mannes and Indiana University, and she continued to study with Julian Patrick at the University of Washington, as well as privately with Bruce Kolb, Andrew Byrne, Marc Schnaible, Victoria Clark and (currently) Virginia Grasso. She has sung in theaters all over the country, including roles in The Light in the Piazza (Philadelphia Theater Company), Rags (Theaterworks Silicon Valley), The Time of Your Life (Seattle Rep and A.C.T.), The Man of La Mancha (Tulane Lyric) and The Pirates of Penzance (Utah Shakespeare Festival), among others. A former dancer, she got her Equity card doing A Chorus Line (5th Avenue Theater).

Kyra has an MFA in acting from the University of Washington (PATP). She is a certified instructor of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) and maintains a private practice. She is also a member of NAAT (the National Alliance of Acting Teachers). In 2023, Kyra was a grantee of the Vermont Arts Council for her puppet film BlueBeardGasLight.
