Program Overview

Start a minor degree where data transforms the world of biotech, biomedical research and more. Bioinformatics uses biology, computer science, and statistics to analyze and interpret biological data.  

Description 

Undergraduate students pursuing degrees in the biomedical and life sciences will require a strong working knowledge of this cutting-edge discipline to facilitate their undergraduate research experiences at UVM. In addition, this minor will prepare undergraduate students to take advantage of new employment opportunities in the fields of biotechnology and biomedical research, as well as in graduate and medical school studies.

Prerequisites Requirements 

MMG 2040 Intro Molecular Genetics or BCOR 2300 Genetics - 3-4 credits
