BIO

Hunt studies agricultural decision-making and behavior in the context of climate change. Her work examines producer adaptation and mitigation strategies, perceptions of climate impacts, and the efficacy of climate programs in ranching, dairy, and row crop systems. She uses interdisciplinary, mixed-methods social science and geospatial approaches to support sustainable and climate-resilient communities and agroecosystems. Hunt earned her PhD in Ecology, Evolution and Behavior and Human-Environment Systems from Boise State University. During her doctoral studies, she was a Science-to-Action Fellow with the USGS National Climate Adaptation Science Center and a Graduate Research Fellow at the Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC). She also holds an MSc in Entomology and a BSc in Biology from the University of Maryland.
