Lecturer

Sarah Williamson has a background in photography, designing community-led workshops and visual storytelling with global nonprofits, such as Her Future Coalition, an organization that supports women’s education and entrepreneurship in India and Nepal. For five years, Sarah spearheaded a photography program in Kolkata, working with 20 female artists from various communities. They have curated exhibitions highlighting caste issues and gender oppression in West Bengal. Sarah works part time as Communications Coordinator for Grounds for Health, a nonprofit that provides cervical cancer prevention programs in coffee growing regions. Sarah tells stories through design, GIS maps and data visualization. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Sociology and received her MA in International Affairs from The New School in NYC in 2021.
