Elissa Schuett, Ph.D. Student

Elissa Schuett joins the SDPEG program while also serving as the Program Manager for the Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative, housed in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at UVM. Prior to this role, she led the communications and research programs for the Lake Champlain Sea Grant as well as the stream ecology program for the Arctic LTER. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bradley University and a Master of Science in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology from Frostburg State University, as well as a Certificate of Graduate Study from the University of Vermont in Environmental Public Health. Elissa is originally from Illinois, taking a circuitous path to arrive in Vermont, where she has made her home since 2011.
