Christopher Donovan, CDAE MS Candidate

Chris has been engaged in environmental issues since the beginning of his career, first through activism, then through native plant work. He graduated from Prescott College with a BS in Environmental Studies in 2019 and has spent the last several years doing field work throughout the West, including rare plant surveys, seed collection, and restoration. He spent two years working with the Nature Conservancy in Wyoming on a precision restoration project, developing and testing seed technologies to improve restoration outcomes. He is coming to UVM intent on blending conservation and economics such that we achieve both ecological integrity and human well-being concurrently. His interests include ecosystem services, natural capital valuation, common-pool resource theory, and steady state economics.
