Research serves the public good by driving innovation, addressing societal challenges, and supporting you as a Vermont Legislator, in making informed policy decisions.  Research fosters economic growth, improves public health, and offers real-world solutions to Vermonters.  By making our research findings accessible, the University of Vermont’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), which includes an array of academic departments and UVM Extension, ensures that scientific knowledge and research innovations benefit everyone.
