BIO

Driven by the fundamental goal to maintain local people's connections (i.e., harvest, spiritual, symbolic) to fish and their ecosystems, Thaïs' research interests are centered on fish evolution, ecology, and movement. Recognizing that being a (fishery) scientist means that we are taking a political side, her lab also aims to reflect on why we ask (and don't ask) specific scientific questions, how we answer them and disseminate research results, who we work with (students, communities, Nations, or no one), and how we work with them.

Bio
