Dear Students,

As this first week of classes draws to a close, I wanted to recognize your great work getting the semester off to a successful start.

THANK YOU for wearing your masks and using disinfecting wipes in the classrooms.

THANK YOU for distancing.

THANK YOU for meeting your testing requirements.

THANK YOU for supporting your professors as they implement brand new technology.

THANK YOU for your patience as we work through loads of new logistics.

And, most importantly, THANK YOU for being here—you have no idea how much we’ve missed you!

Some have said this semester couldn’t be done—but we’re doing it!

To keep up the momentum this holiday weekend, we need you to stay the course. You can help by:

  • Observing the guidelines on GATHERING SIZE LIMITS.
  • Limiting personal travel and STAYING CLOSE TO CAMPUS.
  • MASKING AND DISTANCING, which are always important and especially important when you are out in the local      community.
  • Taking some time to relax, but also spending some time on your STUDIES.

We are serving as a health and safety model for the entire nation. I am incredibly proud of you, and I hope you are proud of yourselves.

Have a good and safe weekend. Enjoy your friends and the planned activities and do so safely, remembering your Green and Gold Promise so we can stay UVMStrong!

Let’s go the distance this fall semester, Catamounts!
