Larner College of Medicine

The Data Science for Policy and Practice program works to inform health policy and clinical practice through rigorous research and advanced data methods. We do this by:

  • Developing novel data resources by linking administrative (Medicaid claims, All-Payer Claims Databases), clinical, and community data
  • Partnering with state agencies and national networks to study Medicaid and other health programs
  • Translating research into actionable information for policymakers, health systems, and communities

Our work combines policy, public health, and clinical expertise with data science to shape policies and practices that improve health care and population health.
