If you are a HOME GARDENER in Vermont, many garden problems can be quickly solved at no cost by speaking with an Extension Master Gardener.

If you are a COMMERCIAL GROWER in Vermont, please follow the following steps:

  1. Contact the PDC: (802) 656-0493. Photos can be emailed, but may need to be sent one at a time if large.
  2. Supply a sample of the problem plant or insect including a completed specimen form (link below). DO NOT send dry or dead plant material.
  3. Special instructions for collecting, preparing, and mailing specimens should be followed closely in order to make accurate identification. Be sure to include an address, phone number and email address.
  4. Enclose a $15.00 check for diagnosis made out to UVM.
  5. The PDC will contact you with results and may make recommendations for management of the problem.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Parking: There is pay-by-space parking located to the left of Jeffords Hall. The clinic is located on the 2nd floor on the south side of the building. If no one is in the office please leave sample and submission form in the box next to lab door.
