Do you help young people build their skills in the garden, kitchen, greenhouse, field or forest?

Whether you call it “farm to school” or not, you are invited to join fellow educators, practitioners and enthusiasts at the monthly Farm and Food Education Peer-to-Peer Office Hours.

This is an informal space to share successes and challenges, troubleshoot, share resources and make connections with other people doing the same kind of work. Bring a thorny question for group problem-solving, or just come to network, listen and learn.

From last month, conversation highlights include:

  • funding opportunities 💰
  • tips and tricks for year-round greenhouse growing 🌱
  • considerations for school gardens or greenhouses with a community gardening component 🫜

The conversation is hosted by the Vermont Farm to School and Early Childhood Network with UVM Extension 4-H and the Center for an Agricultural Economy. Previous attendees have said it is “the most useful hour I spent this month!”

Calls are 3-4 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Upcoming dates include March 18, April 15, May 20 and June 17. Join by clicking the virtual meeting link.
