Vermont had 6,585 electric vehicles registered in 2022, accounting for about 1% of the total vehicles registered statewide. Civil Engineering student Aubrey Ferris '22 researched the characteristics that affect electric vehicle adoption rates and presented her findings during UVM's recent Student Research Conference. Across the Fence interviewed Ferris about the findings and her perspective on how transformative her research work at UVM has been.
